EST. PARK CITY, UT 2011
We started making pickles because we were disappointed with the pickles available in our local stores.
We had never made a pickle before, so we started testing recipes with salad cukes from our local grocery store.
We sold our first jar of pickles at our local farmers market in August, 2011. We sold out in three hours.
We launched with four Utah Whole Foods Markets three months later.
We found a caterer who had extra space for us to rent. We made pickles here for 2 years using camp stoves and home pickling pots.
We ran sales and distribution out of a storage facility in Park City.
We launched with the Whole Foods Rocky Region in June 2013 and our pickles were soon being distributed across the mountain west.
We needed to increase production so we started building out our own commercial kitchen in February 2013.
We made our first batch of pickles in the Yee-Haw Brine House on March 18, 2013.
We are now manufacturing 2500 jars each month and have just about outgrown our kitchen.
